Saints Finishes in First

3/23/2013 - Panthers vs Saints (Boxscore)

Saints Finishes in First with a 4-2 win over the Panthers.

The Saints and the Panthers exchanged goals in the first period, with goals from Erin Vassilakos (#2) assist from Jerry Mariano (#76) and Jordan Lavoie's (#21) 22nd of the season. The Panthers nearly took the lead late in the period, but Eli Shupak (#1) made the save.

The Saints broke open the game with 3 goals in the second to lead 4-1, with 2 goals from Erin Vassilakos (her 17th & 18th of the season) and Jerry Mariano's 29th. Michael Iacovone (#31) had one assist.

Sandy McGrath (#57) scored his 15th goal of the season for the Panthers late in the third period, assisted by Jordan Lavoie to close out the game.

With the win, the Saints will now play the Falcons in the first round of the TPWHL playoffs starting on April 6th.

Wei Jiet Goh Scores Twice in tie with Titans

3/23/2013 - Titans vs Ravens (Boxscore)

Wei Jiet Goh (#2) Scores Twice to help Ravens tie the Titans 2-2. With the tie, the Ravens finishes off the season strong going 3-1-1 in the process.

The Ravens and the Titans exchanged goals in the first period, with goals from Wei Jiet Goh assist from Istok Vidmar and Jeremy Schofield's (#6) 29th of the season.

Nicole Neeson (#5) gave the Titans a 2-1 lead in the second with her 24th goal.

However Wei Jiet Goh scored his 50th goal of the season to earn the tie for the Ravens.

The Titans will now face the Lions in the first round of the TPWHL playoffs starting on April 6th.

Lions edge Falcons

3/23/2013 - Lions vs Falcons (Boxscore)

In a playoff tune up for both teams, the Lions edge the Falcons 4-3.

Saverio Romano (#4) opened the scoring at 8:16 of the first, assist from Lorne Donnelly. Kirk Ashman (#92) answered with 3 straight goals for the Lions, one in the 1st and 2 in the second period for a 3-1 lead. Don Dechamps (#9) provided 2 assists.

Falcons pulled within one 20 seconds into the third period with another goal from Saverio Romano, assist from Lorne Donnelly. However the Lions extended the lead to 4-2 with Kirk Ashman's 4th goal of the game, 55th of the season. Saverio made it a one goal game once again late in the third with the hattrick, and league leading 66th goal.

Both teams finish with identical (10-9-1) records for 21 points, but the Lions finished 3rd by winning 3 of 4 against the Falcons this season.

The Lions will now face the Titans, and the Falcons will battle the Saints in the first round of the TPWHL playoffs starting on April 6th.

Saints Comes Back Again!

3/16/2013 - Lions vs Saints (Boxscore)

After last weeks tie vs Titans. The Saints Comes Back Again in a 3-3 tie against the Lions.

The Lions dominated the 1st two periods to lead 3-0 after 2 with 2 Goals from Kirk Ashman (#92) and 1 Goal from Don Dechamps (#9). Don also chipped in with 2 assists and Lori Edwards (#14) with 1.

However in the third period the Saints came back to score 3 Goals in a span of 2 minutes to tie the game with 2 Goals from Jerry Mariano (#76) and the tying Goal from Erin Vassilakos (#2). They nearly scored a 4th for the win but came up short. Anyway the comeback was even more impressive than last week!

With the tie, the Lions clinch the final playoff spot. This could be a potential 1st round match.

Ravens Shutout Panthers

3/16/2013 - Panthers vs Ravens (Boxscore)

Tracey Taylor (#4) got her 1st Shutout of the season in the Ravens 3-0 Victory!

Wei Jiet Goh (#2) opened the scoring late into the first period, 1st of 2 Goals in the game.

Ravens extended the lead in the second period with Wei Jiet Goh's second Goal of the game, and Cole Mellows (#3) added one more to make it 3-0. That would be all the scoring in the game. The Ravens Won their third straight game.

Both teams fought hard this season, but unfortunately they are the two teams who will miss the playoffs. It was a challenge facing both teams all season long.

Falcons Clinch Playoff Spot!

3/16/2013 - Falcons vs Titans (Boxscore)

Falcons Clinch a Playoff Spot after a 7-3 Victory over the Titans!

Saverio Romano (#4) led the Falcons with 6 Goals 1 assist, Lorne Donnelly had 1 Goal 2 assists, and Meghan Hines (#29) with 1 assist.

Falcons scored 3 Goals in the opening period to lead 3-0, 2 Goals from Saverio and 1 from Lorne. The Titans nearly scored, but Torrance Ho (#30) made the save to deflect the shot off the crossbar and over the net.

Jeremy Schofield (#6) got the Titans on the board at 1:05 into the second period. 3 minutes later, Saverio answered to extend the lead to 4-1 for the Falcons. However the Titans scored 2 more to make it a one goal game at 4-3, with goals from Nicole Neeson (#5) and another from Jeremy.

Being a one goal game in the third, it was a little intense. But the Falcons continued with a strong forecheck and finally broke through with a goal 5 minutes left in the game, 1st of 3 in the period to close out the big win.


Falcons Wins the season series 3-1. This could be a potential 1st round match.
