Wheelchair Dance Program Pilot

The first session of the Equal Grounds Wheelchair Dance Program (pilot) took place on Friday, April 4th from 8-10pm at the newly built Centre for Social Innovation.  I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from this pilot, however, once we started I was quite surprised how easy it was to pick up and how quickly we all meshed. The instructor Olena Cherkasova's warm and inviting nature makes for a very encouraging environment, which I found was helpful especially when trying something new and stepping out of ones comfort zone. I look forward to the next session! The pilot runs for 3 more weeks and perhaps longer depending on numbers, so come on out (it's not too late everyone's welcome) for an evening of fun that everyone can participate in and enjoy!

Next session is this Friday, April 11th from 8pm-10pm at the Centre for Social Innovation Regent Park located at 585 Dundas Street East, Toronto on the 3rd floor.
